LKW.APP now with navigation

Cologne, 15 September 2026 — Aparkado UG is adding navigation for road freight transport to the LKW.APP. With the new feature, the platform brings navigation, parking search and community data together in a single application for professional drivers. The basis for this is the truck profile, in which drivers enter the dimensions and characteristics of their vehicle once.
For many drivers, using several apps is part of everyday working life. Navigation, parking search and current information along the route often run through different systems. With the introduction of truck navigation, the LKW.APP aims to link these functions more closely and simplify the driver's working day.
Routing based on the truck profile
The navigation is designed for the requirements of road freight transport. In combination with the truck profile, it factors vehicle data such as weight, length, height and width into the routing. Unsuitable roads are identified early on and suitable alternatives are proposed.
A further focus is on use while driving. Voice-guided navigation instructions help drivers receive important information without having to keep their eyes on the display.
Parking information directly along the route
Alongside navigation, parking search remains a core part of the platform. Drivers continue to have access to parking information as well as details on the facilities and occupancy of each location.
Community reports are added to this: drivers themselves report through the app whether a location still has free spaces, and rate parking areas for others. The feedback from more than 85,000 users creates an up-to-date picture of the situation on the ground that a static database cannot provide.
By linking navigation and parking information, this data will in future be available directly along the planned route. The routing takes statutory driving and rest times into account. Drivers can see where a break is due on their route and factor suitable parking spaces straight into their planning.
"With navigation, we are adding one of the most important building blocks of a driver's working day to the LKW.APP. Our aim is to bring the functions drivers need every day together in one place and to reduce switching between different applications."
