LKW.APP integrates live data from Toll Collect

More than 65,000 drivers now get direct access to Toll Collect's real-time data through LKW.APP — and with it, up-to-date occupancy information for over 1,000 truck parking spaces along Germany's motorways.

With the pilot phase starting on 1 July 2025, the live data from Toll Collect's parking-space information service is being progressively integrated into LKW.APP. Drivers across Europe gain a decisive information advantage. Together, both partners are pushing the digitalisation of road transport in a targeted way and delivering practical, innovative solutions for the industry.

As a major addition, LKW.APP now also displays current occupancy for around 1,000 motorway parking spaces in Germany, updated every 15 minutes. By 31 December 2025, another 900 spaces will be added step by step. Since its inception, the app has consistently pursued the goal of significantly improving the parking situation for truck drivers and reducing daily pressure in their work. The cooperation with Toll Collect GmbH reinforces this commitment and shows how investments in digital infrastructure deliver impact where it's most urgently needed.

LKW.APP is the fastest-growing app for truck drivers in Europe. It offers extensive information for efficient, forward-looking parking search, including live data and occupancy forecasts for the next 15 hours. Users can plan their routes better and avoid unnecessary waiting times.

Searching for parking today costs drivers an average of up to 45 minutes per attempt, generates around 16 kg of CO2 emissions, and burdens transport companies with an additional roughly 71 euros per driver per month. LKW.APP delivers tangible and sustainable relief here — both ecologically and economically.

The technical implementation was made possible by LKW.APP's forward-looking system design. Two years ago, the team built its own forecast model for parking occupancy, which today forms the technical foundation for integrating the live data.
