LKW.APP integrates live data from Toll Collect’s parking information service

More than 65,000 drivers now have direct access to Toll Collect’s real-time data via the LKW.APP, including up-to-date occupancy information for over 1,000 truck parking areas along the highways.

With the start of the pilot phase on 01.07.2025, live data from Toll Collect’s parking information service will be gradually integrated into the LKW.APP. This gives drivers across Europe a significant information advantage. Together, both partners are driving forward digitalization in the transport sector with practical, innovative solutions for the industry.

As a major enhancement, the LKW.APP now also displays current occupancy of around 1,000 highway parking areas in Germany, updated every 15 minutes. An additional 900 parking areas will be gradually added by 31.12.2025. Since its inception, the app has consistently pursued the goal of significantly improving the parking situation for truck drivers and reducing daily work-related stress. The cooperation with Toll Collect GmbH reinforces this commitment and demonstrates how investments in digital infrastructure can have real impact where they are most urgently needed.

LKW.APP is the fastest growing app for truck drivers in Europe. It offers extensive information for efficient and proactive parking searches, including live data and occupancy forecasts for the next 15 hours. This allows users to plan routes better and avoid unnecessary waiting times.

Currently, truck drivers spend an average of up to 45 minutes per parking search, resulting in approximately 16 kg of CO₂ emissions and around 71 euros in additional monthly costs per driver for transport companies. LKW.APP provides tangible and sustainable relief — both ecologically and economically.

The technical implementation was made possible by LKW.APP’s forward-thinking system architecture. Two years ago, the team developed its own forecasting model for parking occupancy, which now serves as the technical foundation for integrating live data.
